The AM-6000 uses a manual 1:8 zoom system rather than discrete magnification steps. A 23 mm eyepiece field and adjustable binocular support the optical viewing arrangement.
A built-in beam splitter provides the imaging connection. With the optional full-function camera, the system supports still and video capture, playback and comparison of images alongside the live view.
